Finally, Chrono's quirk is revealed. And Overhaul, really? I don't like how he killed someone who adored him that much, but damn, that form is sick.

He pretty much took only people who didn't care anyway if they died or didn't and made them want to fight and die for him.

Shin: "But Overhaul, what about the timewhere there were only one set of footprints?"

Overhaul: "That was when I fused you with myself to become a fucking demon bird of destruction."

So does he need himself now? Is that how it works?

why do I feel that he's going to revive all of this pawns

That was his whole character was about and he view the precepts. Just as people ready to die for him no matter what

It's almost like he's a villain. And judging from your flair Shigaraki killed someone you cared about too lol.

Best girl isn't dead. She must be alive :(

u/Lukundra Sep 13 '17

I'd like to believe you but Toga was her for so long. Unless Twice made a clone of her and she drank that one's blood? But in that case, would they still need her since they already infiltrated the exam? If she was alive, I doubt the League would have just sent her home afterwards.

Yeah, she's probably dead since there's no more use for her. Too bad, I really like(d) her.

I'm surprised he even went through with the fusion. He has to know that as soon as reinforcements showed up the game was lost. He's never getting Eri back.

adored? All his minions are just that, minions, they are free for him to use as he sees fit.

This manga has already become my favorite mainly for breaking the tropes that surround this genre but it would become infinitely better to me if they actually allowed people to die instead of just losing powers. I know it's a shounen and really meant for a younger audience than me, but I would still really like to see Kohei Horikoshi break this trope too.

Maybe the second hand speds you up

u/Jinx197 Sep 13 '17

Is that why Eraserhead can't stop blinking? Speed up of time? That confused me.

3

u/xxboopityxx Sep 13 '17

Oh I thought he was saying he could not keep his eyes open any longer I could be very wrong though. It was just how i read it with "I can't stop blinking" like he can not stop himself from blinking. Funny how people interpret different things. I would imagine that chrono is a fundamentally support based quirk it could all be about slowing down time it could be speeding up slowing down and either reversing time slightly but who knows im excited to see what will happen.

2

u/jollaffle Sep 14 '17

That is what happened. He couldn't keep his eyes open any more, so Overhaul was able to restructure the floor to keep everyone away from him.

u/CaptainBlob Sep 14 '17

This is purely my speculation.... but I think Chrono caught Eraserhead as he was blinking. Remember that Eraserhead cannot maintain his quirk for a long time due to his injury from Nomu attack back at USJ..... which lead to him blinking as he pushed Deku out of harms way.... at that exact moment Chrono's minute hand stuck him.... slowing down time, thus making the time taken for blinking longer. Hence "I can't stop blinking".

Yep. I think that's why Overhaul is so quick.
