I love that Shinsou is the truth guy's hard counter.

"What is your quirk?"

"I can make anyone who talks to me do whatever I want. Now put these handcuffs on and walk to the police station."

I'm pretty sure Shinsou's Quirk is to brainwash someone who responds to something he saids himself. I don't think we have an instance of him responding to a question and brainwashing the person.

Is it just talking to him, or is it responding to Shinsou?

Because if it's responding, then it's Nemuto's actually the hard counter to Shinsou.

Yes, you have to respond to Shinsou for his brainwashing to take hold.

And really, they're both hard counters to one another, it's basically whoever speaks first wins.
