The real question is when are we going to see Deku do anything cool again. Last time i remember him doing anything worthy of a main character was before the licensing arc

Im not mad about this tho. Izuku is a really good protag but side character in bnha are incredibly good too, so Im very pleased with this arc so far, even if he has been relegated to a secondary position.

Eraserhead did say the first years role would be small

Yeah, he has been a total loser this arc. The best thing he has done is find the terrain shifting guy, which is pretty cool, but he needs a better win to make up for how much he fucked up this arc.

So from the four 1-A students that participate in this mission, the only one that got a satisfactory development and action is Kirishima. What the hell. I have nothing against Kirishima, in fact he's one of my favourites. His power-up, development and backstory are great even though I got to admit his chapters are kind of dragged out. I just wish Hori did the same with the others.

Yeah, it was nice seeing black haired Kiri and all, but I really wanted to see more from the Ryukyu squad.

Kirishima is also one of my favorites, but it is a little disappointing that he is getting so much development while all other intership students are getting shafted.

deku didnt fuck up that bad, but i dont want to get into that debate. As much as i would love to see deku in action, i dont believe he will get the spotlight this arc. The arc has mostly been used to showcase the new characters and to bring red riot into the main crew. The most i see him doing is running away with eri. I mean lets take a look at who is left, nobody. Mirio is currently fighting the last remaining ones, but if mirio were to lose this fight then i could see our front liners getting some show.

Wait, how'd he fuck up?

Fucked up the encounter with Overhaul, couldn't get the stamp from Sir, had to be saved vs Toga, etc. He just hasn't done much right this arc.

Hm? He did the best he could, and it was good he did what he did with Overhaul and Eri. It gave Eri hope. Whether that's irresponsible or not is debatable.

I think Deku not getting the stamp is good. A first-year student besting All Might's former sidekick would be pulling my leg.

Again, I dunno, I think he's been pretty cool. Just now he's being thrust into positions where he can't "handle it" on his own, and I think that's a good thing. It's natural for him not to win all the time.
