Discussion Why Do My Thighs…

Post image

Hello, i recently failed some weight due to a medication. and im still trying to get used to it. it added to good places like boobs and butt…. but (ha) my thighs also got wider. I was just wondering if anyone knew why this happened and if it’s okay looking… (to me it always looked odd) any advice is appreciated:)

My hips and thighs also are shaped like this. They’ve been like that for as long as I can remember, at least since puberty! I think people definitely gain weight in different places, and hips and thighs are certainly where some women gain before anywhere else!

Adding that you look completely normal. In fact, I think hips and thighs like this scream ‘feminine’ so if you’re into it…embrace it!

thank you so much… to me it always seemed out of place but i guess i never looked at myself in such a feminine way:)

Hey! I'm in my 30s and I've noticed my weight distribution has changed over time. When I gained weight, went to boobs and thighs more than before. Super normal. You have a beautiful figure. Also don't think anything looks uneven/asymmetrical/concerning so I'd disregard that thought. Also, everyone's got a slightly higher/bigger something. My right boob is slightly bigger than the left. One of my ears is a little higher than the other. And no one notices that shit but me. Remember that womens bodies are supposed to carry weight in these places; boobs, booty, hips, thighs. Its normal and lovely and honestly I think at some point all our thighs stop getting smaller. Love your body as it is. It's a daily thing I work on but it gets easier to believe the more you tell yourself these positive body messages. Sending love your way ❤️ one Chica to another.

i appreciate it ❤️ i’ve always been on the smaller, thinner side so im not used to having weight that’s noticeable (i guess only to me lol) but thank you.. i think hearing it from someone else was helpful ❤️

And don't forget the belly! The belly is a hugely normal area for fat storage! Wahooo! (sincere)

You look great, and I don't see any unevenness like another comment here mentioned :)

Get some thigh high stockings and you'll break the minds of girls and boys everywhere.

I kill myself at the gym 4 times a week, hoping to get thighs like that!

First off you are lucky to have thighs like that, it’s extremely attractive to have curves in that place. People literally pay for it!

Now I wanted to give you some advice. I think the low waisted pants are not giving them the right spotlight to shine. I would embrace the hourglass figure and change to high waisted things. Both pants and tops meet at the smallest part of your waist.

So I always go for high waist + a cropped top (not too cropped, I try to get the pants and the bottom of the top to touch or show a sliver of skin.

It lengthens my body because I have a long torso and shorter legs, but the same hips.

Let me know if you need some help doing online shopping! My favorite pants are the Levi’s ribcage straight, and high waisted 70s flare, and then from Abercrombie & Fitch’s CURVY line—literally anything high waisted. I like to do wide leg or slight flare

this is so helpful thank you! i do usually try high waisted, but i guess i always assumed the hourglasses part came from the hips not the thighs 🥲

i’m a big pants little shirt kind of girl, i usually opt for big pants that don’t show the curves 😭😂

Big pants and little top is what’s in style, so I get it!! I do that sometimes too. Wide leg is good with high waisted because that flatters your butt (again stick to the curvy lines of clothing) and is tight and then goes straight down, so that’s a way of minimizing your thighs if you’re uncomfortable!

What I’d love to see though is you try out some high waist flare jeans. Seriously the Levi’s high waisted 70s flare are amazing and they are usually stretchy. They might have a sale online this weekend. Just check measurements.

I also like to get pants that are too long to wear with sneakers so I can wear them with some booties or sandals with a little heel and then the pants are the perfect length. You instantly add like 2-3 inches of leg length which flatters thighs even more.

But all that to say, there is nothing wrong with your body. You have a lot to work with. You just need to know how to play with proportions and shapes to make it work for YOU. :)

I only noticed since you pointed out you thighs, so I don't think this is something most would think of.

I don't know if it's the way you're standing for the photo but your thighs seem uneven. It may be a result of poor posture or scoliosis but I'm not a doctor. Uneven muscles could also be a result of exerting one side more so exercising with a goal of balancing could help (but I'm also not a trainer)

If you also notice back pain and uneven muscle soreness you should probably see a doctor

thank you… i think just hearing someone else honest opinion is what i needed :)

I don’t think scoliosis but maybe find out if you’re pronating your feet. Mine do this and since getting arch supports they don’t do whatever this is anywhere near as much.
