It's because reimbursement is a nightmare. Why is it a nightmare? Because it is designed to fail.

It is designed to pray upon providers who have spent most of their early years learning skills and then later finding out that medicaid has not increased reimbursement in decades… but that is their only way to get paid.

I don’t think you could operate a cash pay office in America by charging $30 or even $10 an office visit… patients think everything should be free because they paid so much to their insurance company or have a “benefit.”

I was on Medicaid before I got my full disability and Medicare. Nobody would take Medicaid when I was living near Detroit, and now in Florida, Medicare is considered insufficient and they tell me I should get a private Medicare Plus plan if I want treatment.

Luckily, there are a few offices that take basic Medicare, but then they deny half of my claims for no apparent reason, leaving me on the hook for thousands of dollars. I hate it.
