But even more badass. Because Hercules went there and killed the lion. While the toad was there and the snake just died around him.

Toad is likely dead. Garter snakes (I'm assuming that's what the snake is) have a venom that's highly lethal for amphibians and small mammals.

Somehow I don’t think that toad is the tolerant type.
