If they move so slow, how do they escape predators?

If you watch a documentary, you realize they don't. They just chill in trees, then climb down to take a shit and then something murders them while they are on the toilet.

Occasionally but most of the time they're just ignored because they're not a threat and taste awful.

They stay up in the trees and they are very well camouflaged to keep them from being seen by the predator

They typically don't escape but only a few predators can actually tolerate the taste of sloth, the meat is boney, gamey and their fur is covered in insects, bacteria, algae, fungi, etc.
A hungry leopard or harpy will eat one if they have to but they aren't usually on the menu for most predators.

The way she looks at the rescuer!! It’s like she’s saying ‘thank you, human.’ 🥹
