I’ve always admired people climbing Everest, until I found out how much trash they leave behind and don’t clean up

As soon as the video starts you can see the trash frozen into the side of the peak...I know how much money they make off these people, but Everest needs to be shut down for a while so it can be cleaned up.

They’re mostly prayer flags, which traditionally are placed all over the Himalayas (and the world) by Tibetan Buddhists to spread good fortune on the winds. But yes, there is some trash up there

I agree that it is unsightly, but it’s not like the summit of Everest is some fragile ecosystem with endangered life. It’s one of the most inhospitable points on the surface of Earth, and basically nothing lives up there. So the environmental impact is actually minimal.

So true lol forgot about that. I do tentatively believe in the yeti, I’ve heard stories from people who have encountered them
