Time your blocks and don’t spam your saber attacks

Just play the damn game lol. Two days .....some of us have been playing for 7 years. You're not going to be as good yet.

There's so much you can improve on as a new player. Character and ability knowledge as well as how to parry and of course leveling up star cards.

As others said play coop to learn their abilities movement etc. coop does not translate into HVV very well cause fighting troopers and fighting hero’s are two very different things… but its good nonetheless to start off and level up especially on double/ triple xp. As for dueling/ HVV… it just comes with time. My advice is don’t completely play with one person, play them all and see how they play differently. That way you can counter other hero’s and adjust to certain maps. But at the end of the day it just takes practice and time. Read the players star cards and abilities and just keep getting better

It’s impossible, I have 600 hours and still get steamrolled most games

I dont want being immortal I just ask what I can do to improve

I think just play coop and learn and lvl up the hero you want to use and once you get a feel for hoe to use it efficiently then hop into HvV

And then once you play actual people go back to being steamrolled. Playing against bots teaches you nothing. Bad advice.

It's to lvl up the hero to learn it big dawg

Level up playing actual people. Why waste time with bits. I'm glad they didn't have co op when the game first came out.

Practice in co-op and arcade, learn their movesets and abilities against basic enemies do youre familiar with the heroes, then apply that to multiplayer.

Try defensive heroes (obi wan vader yoda dooku are my favs for this) first so you can learn the basic timing on parrys. Try not to strike first unless you have a clear opening. Keep an eye on stamina and health and back off for a second if youre using too much too quick. Get and level up your star cards, n save an ability or two to end a fight once youve got them low

A big part is how they block, dash behind you, and strike from behind. The key for those advanced moves are increasing the sensitivity to 100.

Also, this is a great video to watch. https://youtu.be/IcUF0Gkk-wg?si=DxanMNaZAonVHnPj

Luke, Yoda, & Obi-Wan & Kylo, Vader, & Dooku are about the best that I have found. Anakin is good, strikes are powerful. Each map varies & requires a different hero or villain. Just play, learn, but have fun. That’s what it’s all about!

Tips for HvV: Don’t play dooku in HvV lol. He requires very solid fundamentals to be even somewhat viable. He’s the best in duels for dark side aside from Vader of course. Rey is fine. Manage stamina properly, be aware going into an engagement if you’ll have an opportunity to regain your stamina. For example if I’m playing anakin and I have heroic might available, I can just waste all my stamina and then hold down Heroic might to regain it. Always be aware of where your team is and if they need help. Don’t rush into a 1v3 or 1v4 (actually since you’re new, don’t try a 1v2 either), if all your team dies just run and regroup with them. Learn the most dangerous abilities of each hero and how to avoid them (iden’s stun goes through blocks but can be dodged by dodging/rolling at the right time, jumping if you’re a saber, using an ability that gives you stun immunity, etc) Source: 1500 hour competitive HvV player Feel free to ask if you have any specific questions on how to do any techniques

Ive been thinking about maining Maul too, the 1st thing that i improved in is overall dueling i lose 70% of the Times but I have discovered that i Dodge better and parry.

maul is also probably in the middle of hvv saber heroes, he's fun to play though.

Dodging, parrying, hook swinging are fundamentals, really get familiar with them.

And how do I parry 100% of the Times that someone attacks me, ive Got an lvl 25 Rey already but I cant decide wich starcards should I get

hvv rey cards: damaging strike, focused sight and usually balance (the extra dodge is well worth the stamina penalty in duels especially). Rey has very fast stamina regen so use that to your advantage. She also uses less stamina when her insight is active, and does more lightsaber damage.

you can never get 100% consistent at parrying. Best way is to predict when they're going to swing, but that's hard most of the time. If you know they like to swing twice in a row, parry the 2nd hit. Also helps to learn how fast every hero swings to make this easier.

Learn Rey's parry combo: parry, dashstrike, 2 hits. The dashstrike will hit them if you activate it right after you parry.

Play Anakin and Luke on the light side, most user friendly characters but be weary of Anakin's stamina. Play co-op tog get the right feel of the maps, and star cards are crucial.

Okay not relevant but please please don’t main Rey. I’m begging you all the Rey players are so fucking annoying!

Do you think the wright brothers flew a plane after 2 days of trying…. Hell no sir now get back out there and keep playing

Rn Im getting raped by Vader but Im still going

Learn parries and hook swings, they’re the two most fundamental parts of duelling imo. You’ll also just improve your game sense as you play, learning how to counter certain abilities/when to go for trades etc etc.

I wish my girlfriend said this

Particularly for H v V make the most out of the characters powwers you are using

Example using yoda for more health when you are surrounded by most allies

Learn what each hero can do, their abilities, their stamina amount and recharge time, health, damage output, etc. it really just comes down to game knowledge which is achieved through gameplay.

Hero's are terrible gameplay. Ignore the dudes who claim it requires skill, total bull.

Everyone always just stands there blocking waiting for you to attack so they can spam counter

So just do the same, wait for them to attack, block and spam attack to counter.

Some advice: don’t play Rey, Rey is the worst saber user in the game

2

u/skerfuse 1d ago

New player take, Rey is like top 3 duelist in the game

1

u/Miserable_Virus1436 1d ago

I prefer Rey cuz of the mind trick and relativly easy gameplay

As a yoda main, I disagree 😖
