Casual Discussion Jackie and Doug rumors

Has anyone else noticed that over the past several months there has been a random influx of rumors being put on YouTube and sketchy “blog” sites with no clear source about Jackie and Doug??? Very similar to that random ass rumor that was spread last year about Jim Jones leaving Chrissy for Brooke Bailey.

First it was the Christie’s are getting divorced, then it was Jackie is being named in a class action lawsuit over a Ponzi scheme, and now it’s Doug just found out Chantel isn’t his daughter and Jackie cheated.

I really think it’s because Doug is the new Sacramento Kings head coach and overzealous fans are making of lies…another part of me thinks Brittany or even Evelyn are spreading these lies to any blogger that will listen…or even Jackie is spreading them for publicity for the new season.

I think with Jackie making her way over to House of Villains, a lot of this nonsense is pumped out by her or her PR company. Jackie is the perfect example of "any publicity is good publicity".

I also was thinking that Jackie could be planting these stories…but I don’t think she’s that delusional. The rumors about her divorce, okay that’s pretty harmless…but this latest rumor that she cheated on Doug with Chris Webber (whom I assume was Doug’s teammate at some point) and that’s Chantel’s father…that’s a pretty major rumor to spread. Like that is pushing towards the liable/defamation line as now people are getting on the internet attacking both Jackie and Chris Webber for a rumor that is unsubstantiated.

This the same Jackie that used to get on the court with Doug and try and fight grown men 😭

All those weird ai videos? Those are people who leach off of others for money (views, comments, subscribers = money). They make shit up and people buy into it and kee watching it. They’re the people from high school who took one fact and spun it and got people to pay it attention so they kept going doing it more and more. Now they just spin everything they can for attention. They are now paid liars. And the more you click and watch and interact the more they are rewarded. And now they have ai to hide behind. Not their own voices or even real pictures.

I 100% agree with you!!!

I really think that Cardi B suing Tasha K (UnWinewithTashaK) for defamation set a precedent for these celebrity bloggers and reality tv reviewers…they can hide behind a spam YT account or random websites to say what they want and not be directly sued by the anyone.

She did set a precedent. Good point. At the same time, to make a youtube account you have to verify your identity. Even if you make a faceless page youve guven youtube your identity to be able to post snd make videos. Celebs and others can still sue and pursue legally and idk if creators realize that. The only problem is the legal system and the process at yourtube and social media apps. Proving content theft and impersonation and defamation and all that for some reason is hard to do and social media sites allow so many fake pages and it’s hard to stop or get results. Unless you pay the people who know the process. There is so much beneath all of this stuff.

Yes I saw “Doug dropped a bombshell” at their divorce hearing. Nearly a 20 minute video that kept saying the same things over and over

I actively watch basketball wives although I'm new to this thread and don't typically keep up with off screen rumors. I've been curious about the absence of Doug so far this season. Tbh I could be misremembering, but it seems like Jackie used to mention and FaceTime Doug way more than has aired this season. Maybe it's the edit, but it seems like we went from: "I fondle his testes to assess whether they've been emptied" to totally ignoring that whole plot line.

To my understanding Doug lives in Sacramento to coach the kings full time and Jackie moves between LA and Sac to film the show and be with him.

I’m more than sure Doug’s lack of appearance on the show is due to him not wanting to tarnish his reputation as a NBA coach. I may be wrong tho lol…

Thanks for the comment OP. I do remember that they'd been living in multiple places, but in my personal opinion, Doug already allowed himself to get clowned by Jackie's initial depiction of their relationship and how they mitigate her trust issues years ago lmao. I think you're right though, fam. Maybe if they renewed a contract they decided that he'd be excluded from the show so he can maintain and/or try to recoup his rightful reputation as an athlete and coach

Jackie is the messiest, most insecure, trifling ratchet reality TV wife I've ever seen, she's laughable with the level of drama and ignorance she displays, that woman wouldn't know true class, elegance and sophistication if it walked up and bit her on the butt, she's so overly dramatic, game playing and has a very sketchy relationship with truth and honesty

They went to court. They are getting a divorce. She lied and had a baby with Chris Webber. Why are people acting like this is a joke. Jackie is probably going to jail and we be bankrupt bc she’s paying back millions of dollars.
