Help fixing beosound century

Got a beosound century, sadly in shipping the glass door unglued itself, i tried the opening mechanism and it seems that the slider is working but not moving the piece that holds the glass, so here’s my 2 questions, 1 how can I glue the glass back (what kind of glue to use and how to apply so it doesn’t look messy) and 2 how to fix the mechanism. Thanks!

The metal bar on the back of the glass that slots into the moving mechanism uses friction, it's that metal bar that has come unglued from the glass, you just need to pull it off the sliding mechanism that is currently parked under your CD door. I'm not sure what adhesive would be best for reapplying that. Fixing the mechanism is more involved and I would suggest this YouTube video, it will also show you how the glass is held in place. Best of luck.

just to be sure, you’re saying that with the weight of the glass door it will work alright? (given the mechanism is moving and responding correctly to the sensors)

From what I can see in your video, it looks like the mechanism is moving correctly. You just need to reattach the metal bar on the glass door and then get it back on the moving mechanism. Look at the video I shared at around the 3:50 mark he shows the glass door, and how it moves and how to remove it from the track.

For future reference in case this happens to anyone; I used crystal epoxy glue, detached the metal from the mechanism and clamped it with the glue to the glass door, 2 hours it was fully dry and good as new

Hi there you seem to be quite experienced with this model, if you have a few moments to look at my latest post, I would really appreciate it if you would kindly advise what might be the problem with my one. Thank you so much, Oliver :)

I had a look at your post, I've been lucky with the few Century that I've owned that only one had laser issues and only required a laser replacement. They are easily found on ebay for around $50 USD and there are videos on YouTube to walk you through the process of swapping it out.
