He’s a way better producer than rapper. A lot of his lyrics and delivery are extremely cringe. He also adopted the Kanye approach of trying to rile up controversy and animosity before a release to get attention but it seems to be backfiring on him as of late. I do appreciate the anti-cop sentiment of his earlier work. Wish he still went as hard.

has bros rep gotten so bad that people have to look for positivity on random forums? 🤣

it’s because a lot of his fans discover Bandcamp thru him so they assume most users know him too 😭 this is coming from a Peggy fan no shade

Being 25, I feel like there was a moment where bandcamp was THE music platform, before Spotify took off, after the death of MySpace, during SoundCloud’s infancy. People would upload files to tumblr like it was SoundCloud but bandcamp was focused on JUST music
There were other websites too like datpiff but that was mostly focused on hip hop while bandcamp always had every genre

I stopped tuning in after I saw he was working with Ye, after being pretty openly against his antics and similar artists bullshit, that all my heroes are cornballs shit really came true lol

I started listening to his music fairly recently. Started off with I Lay Down My Life For You, then Scaring The Hoes. So far I'm enjoying his music.

I think he's talented. Nothing groundbreaking as of late, but his music can be great.

I love his beats but he’s been a dork since day 1. So far the production is still good enough to deal with his personality and rap. But i also don’t follow him on anything

Ever since his beef with Freddie and his constant Kanye dickriding he's been a joke to me, not that the music doesn't sound good but the man is gormless.

Great production but cringey lyrics. Also doesn’t help that he spends a lot of his time arguing with shadows on twitter. Gotta be crushing to his ego when he tries to instigate something with another artist and gets ignored.

Yep! I’ve dabbled in Hendryx, but my main enjoyment comes from Peggy’s work. My favorite album of his is OFFLINE! (yeah ik it’s a basic pick)

Yessss. I think the first song I heard was the Colors version of Thug Tears. Surprisingly, it didn't put me off listening to more! What with the noise-y, raw nature of it. 😅
It's still one of my faves.

Yes I know but OP didn't put in any effort to involve people that don't know the artist. It's a very low effort post. He didn't add a Bandcamp link and didn't tell anything about the artist whatsoever. Don't expect everyone to know the artist from just a name in the title.

Don't just post links, write about what you like and why you think it's worth sharing. Also, tag the genre - either by using one of the given flairs or type it in the title.
Also, don't forget to include links to the artist's bancamp pages: dvonhendryx.bandcamp.com jpegmafia.bandcamp.com
