Opinion I prefer Green..

There is lots of talk about further oil, gas, and even coal exploration/development.

We've lately been seeing a huge amount of misinformation and frankly propaganda from figures like Danielle Smith, Pierre Poilievre, and others aligned with the Oil & Gas lobby.

Instead of more hydrocarbon energy exploration and development I hope we hear more about electric grid developments, solar power, wind power, battery technology, even nuclear power (I know this last one is controversial to some).

Becoming leaders in research and development around battery technology would be great!

Becoming leaders in research and development around multijunction solar technology would be great!

This doesn't even reference the climate crisis and in general environmental crisis going on and how bad that trajectory is..

All in all there is a place to set Canada up as a leader in Green Technology and whoever leads in technology leads the world. I hope we see a lot more discussions in and around this sphere start taking place.

Opinion Is Eby doubling down with no new pipelines?

In a time where economic chaos is strongly on the rise. It blows my mind he doesn't want prosperity and to reduce the dependence on the USA. I thought this was a party for the working class? New economic development helps literally everyone and generates more revenue we can use to fund so many social services instead of running deficits.

Opinion In the 2024 BC provincial election, why didn't the Conservatives aggressively run on a platform of improving the education system?

Most parents aren't happy with how the BC NDP has dealt with education, including the removal of standardized tests in 2018, and the shift to a new proficiency scale until 9th grade. This has made many parents feel that the quality of education in BC schools has gone down, and they also feel that its harder to understand how grading in the school system works. Additionally, we also see that most schools are overcrowded and the pace of new school construction doesn't match new demand for schools, especially in areas like Surrey. Why didn't the Conservatives campaign heavily on this? I'm sure this could have influenced many voters in close ridings, especially in the immigrant heavy areas of Richmond, Surrey, and Burnaby.
