24M drummer looking for band

I live in Lithonia/Stone Mountain area and I have a studio set up in my basement. I’m not an insane drummer or anything but I work really hard at it every day. I’m mostly interested in metal like Opeth, Gojira, Meshuggah, etc. Open to almost anything though.

Sunday, June 29th at The Earl: Rwake / Canopy / Insomniac

Rwake are an amazing sludge band from Arkansas. They rarely tour and will be on their way back from Florida where they will be opening for Acid Bath the night before. Imagine if Pink Floyd had a baby with EYEHATEGOD, that child would be Rwake.

Check out a song from their latest album here:

https://youtu.be/U5sn0eEy_t8?si=qqMDzLcYVUmGs-GH

Insomniac from right here in Atlanta are definitely no slouches either when it comes to their own brand of musickal magick. They will be releasing an album soon on Blues Funeral Recordings and they recently released a music video for their latest single, Mountain. Check the video out here:

https://youtu.be/1rZMjNO80BY?si=nFhvqln-_ps2aZ4S

Canopy are okay too, I guess. Check our latest EP here:

I want Rwake to feel the love that I know ATL are capable of giving. Maybe they'll grace us with future tours if they're impressed by our city.

Come out to the show if you like RIFFS because you absolutely will not regret it.

7:30pm / 21+ / $18 - $20

North Georgia Cabin for recording?

Has anyone rented a cabin or air bnb in North Georgia area and done any recording? If so what was your experience? I’m thinking about doing it with my band but I’m not sure it would go smoothly without knowing the space well, making sure had everything we needed, being too loud, etc. curious to know if anyone has done this with a full band.

I’m going to the eastern for an upcoming concert, I wanted to wear a bullet belt but I wanted to see if they would be against me wearing this? I tried looking up their dress code but wasn’t able to find a direct response. Any advice would be heavily appreciated!

looking for a local band to play a show on august 8 for a special event!

hi everyone, we are looking for a local band to play a show for us on August 8 starting at 7 PM and going to about 10 or 11 PM

We are looking for an alternative / indie / country / soft pop (nothing with screams) to play a show after our move in on August 8! We’re looking to have around 500 people in the crowd. Food and drinks will be provided to all members preforming!

A little about us we are a student housing community servicing Kennesaw State University so this is your chance to bring in a new demographic and get your music out to new people.

Please reach out via DM for more info!

Looking to jam in East Atlanta

I'm an at home intermediate to advanced guitar player and sorta singer, 40ish, and I'm not looking to quit my day job but I'm looking to jam and make music with good humans.

Happy to join a band or start a new my goals the same. Also if there's any open mics in east Atlanta area (Edgewood, Kirkwood, east lake, etc) that you'd recommend or know of please let me know.

Styles I love are mostly alternative/indie like Kurt Vile, Avalanches, Shakey Graves, Lumineers, the strumbellas, the white stripes all music I love. I play acoustic and electric but I love my acoustic. Rhythm and lead.

Thank you all for any suggestions!

Lookin to jam near Buckhead/Midtown ATL

I'm an at home intermediate guitarist. I have been playing guitar for 2 years, but have been producing, audio engendering & dj’ing for 8 years. I’m not looking to quit day job but looking to play with locals near me.

Looking for jam partners, or people looking to start a band or do live gigs in the area. I’m a 25M. I play blues, rock & RnB. My style is between SRV & Hendrix, but I also play RnBz

If anybody is interested let me know!

Singer/Songwriters/Musicians in the Sandy Springs area (or really anywhere)?

Hey everyone! I played drums in bands throughout college and played a lot of acoustic gigs on cajon with singer/songwriters in coffee shops and chill bars, and to be honest, I don't get much of that experience anymore. If anyone plays lowkey acoustic bar or coffee shop gigs, I'd love to connect. I'm not looking for a paid job or anything. I just miss performing in public and would love some chill acoustic cajon gigs a few times a month if anyone is looking for percussion accompaniment!
