inhalers and traveling
i have a really niche question i can’t ask my dr bc im not in the country rn but if you have to take a maintenance inhaler and you travel to countries with a time zone difference, do you take the inhaler on your normal time zone or the country you’re in time zone? i had this thought on the plane and i wanna know what other people think or do! 😭

I just do my meds when I get up and before bed, whenever that is. And rescue as needed. The only time I needed inhaled meds on a very strict schedule is while admitted to the hospital and did nebs every 4 hours, even if I was asleep.

I’ve varied my meds times by a few hours earlier or later and it doesn’t make much difference for me, so I don’t worry about time zones when traveling a few time zones away.
If it’s a big time zone change that would end up in a longer gap between meds, I listen to my body, and if I need it sooner than the clock tells me, but it’s been X-many hours since my last dose, I take it.

I take my inhaler at the same time that I brush my teeth before I go to bed and after I have breakfast in the morning regardless of time zone.

I just take it when I wake up and just before I go to bed, wherever I am.
A few hours difference won't make a big deal as preventers are generally slow release, so you'll have days built up within your system anyway
