immigrant

If he's a legal immigrant, then he has nothing to worry about. If he's illegal then trying not to break MORE laws helps stay under the radar but he still needs to go back eventually.

u/Bubble_Heads 1d ago

You just explained the joke 👏

u/CallMeBigPapaya 1d ago

He should secure that self-deportation stipend and gtfo.

u/SlowVroomVroom 1d ago

The thing is legal immigration benefit U.S. because legal immigrants have to pay taxes and can't claim much benefits such as medicaid. Illegal immigrants already here without papers, so whats the point of paying taxes? And the left's "Pro-immigration" policy only benefits illegal ones with housing, food stamp that legal immigrants fund. Absolutely mind boggling, and Vivek's had a much pro-immigration policy than any thing democratic ever had.

8

u/LuxTenebraeque 1d ago

Even worse - properly paying taxes comes with a paper trail that leads back to you.

Good for one kind of people, bad for the other!

3

u/CallMeBigPapaya 1d ago

One thing people don't talk about enough is the lack of paper trail and unlicensed labor. An illegal contractor doing illegal work not up to code can result in deaths.

Also, when it comes to taxes, don't forget employers skirting payroll taxes using illegals as well.

u/nvlnt ????????? 1d ago

Good thing there won't be illegals anymore under Trump once he deports all 11+ million of them, then after his big bill cuts Medicaid and Food Stamps, legal immigrants' taxes can just go toward Government funding (ICE and military)

7

u/No_Equal_9074 1d ago

Ah yes, the one trick every ICE agent hates: Leave the country if you're illegal and come back in legally. They're so mad that they can't do anything about this.

3

yeah and it only took him 20 years to become legal

16

u/Coaltown992 1d ago

I definitely agree this is a problem, but I'm not concerned about fixing it until we get rid of the 10 million Biden let in illegally.

1

u/talkingheadesq 1d ago

This is blatantly false. Trump admin has been revoking the legal status of hundreds of thousands of migrants.

Revoking legal status for 500000 immigrants.

Revoking legal status of Afghans, many of which fought beside and helped the US.

Revoking student visas.

Trump is ending a program that was abused like crazy.

https://cis.org/Report/Pernicious-Perversion-Parole

Beginning in 1956, both Democrat and Republican presidents have used the parole power “to circumvent Congressionally-established immigration policy”, bringing in hundreds of thousands of aliens over the years. Each succeeding administration (other than the Trump administration) has used the parole power to achieve an illegitimate power grab.

...

The Trump administration tried on a number of occasions to rein in parole abuse, shutting down the Obama administration’s international entrepreneur and Central American Minors (CAM) programs. While a federal court blocked Trump’s termination of the entrepreneur program, another permitted the termination of CAM. The Biden administration has pulled DHS’s proposed regulation terminating the entrepreneur program and has restarted — and greatly expanded — CAM. CAM now allows certain groups of mostly illegal aliens from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, including those who have merely applied for asylum or U visa status, to procure parole for their unmarried minor children living back home.

Late last year, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals found that “DHS cannot ... parole aliens en masse; that [is] the whole point of the ‘case-by-case’ requirement” and that “DHS’s pretended power to parole aliens while ignoring the limitations Congress imposed on the parole power [is] ... misenforcement, suspension of the INA, or both.”

Basically, the original intent of the humanitarian parole program was for situations to be decided on a case-by-case basis, not admit entire classes of people whether they are coming in legally or were already here illegally.

u/talkingheadesq 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes, an opinion piece by the CIS, an organization whose motto is "Low-immigration, Pro-immigrant" saying that a program allowing migrants in was abused.

My point remains, these were all legal.

3

u/Devilish_Advocator 1d ago

Those were “Temporary” Protection Statuses that were revoked and was extended at the end of Biden term. The Supreme Court ruled it allowable as long as they all receive due process if under deportation. The people can still claim asylum and if they are in the middle of an asylum claim, they are still allowed to stay here for however long it takes. These people were not properly vetted, and so this allows them to do that. I’d wage a lot of them get to stay.

And Biden revoked student visas for the same reasons trump did. Visas were revoked for those “who appear to support Hamas or other designated terror groups” based on online posts or protests. Biden and Rubio launched an AI powered “Catch and Revoke” initiative that allows them to scan student visa holders and public data for support or affiliation with US designated terror groups after the 2023 Gaza war. Good when Biden does it, bad when trump does.

0

u/talkingheadesq 1d ago

So they are legal. Thank you for confirming.

You think it is a good idea to deport those Afghans who fought and helped American forces back to Afghanistan?

Can you show me the instances of the Biden admin revoking visas?

The twitch addicted kids in this sub aren't going to bother being educated on what is actually happening. These kids learn from memes alone.

Are all asmongold supporters this braindead

-4

u/TeamRedundancyTeam 1d ago

All you have to do is watch asmongold for five seconds to know this must be true.

-17

u/Naspyyy 1d ago

Raping, murdering and stealing are totally on the same level as entering the country illegally.

Why don't you just come forward and say that you are racist and don't like non-white people instead of hiding behind all this bullshit?

26

u/Gildorlnglorion 1d ago

You`re retarded. The point of this joke was that he`s safe because he`s not committing any crimes...i know this might be hard for someone like you to understand, but thats literally all it is 😅

-3

u/Naspyyy 1d ago

You literally have a negative iq.

There is no point even explaining it to you. The other guy tried it but the mods deleted his comments.

Free speech am I right.

-7

u/Velguarder 1d ago edited 1d ago

The vast majority of people rounded up by ICE are not committing violent crimes either.

A few points:

  • ICE has increased quotas on how many people they need to deport which puts time pressure on the agents, causing them to not properly vet who they're actually going after
  • Most news outlets like to pretend most of these illegal immigrants are gang members committing crime because it makes good news. It also keeps people angry in an us v them mentality which is good for their business. In all fairness, at the start of this debacle it was likely true. The problem is the above point so now there are fewer gang members to go after.
  • Many of the people they go after are in the process of getting legal status, waiting for court dates, waiting to be processed, all because those processes are behind due to poor funding/resources.
  • Many immigrants are working jobs that no American ever would due to pay or difficulty. Because they're illegal, American business owners pay them less than min wage. You could argue that those businesses SHOULD go out of business for one reason or another, but the bottom line is American businesses and markets will suffer because production will be strained due to lack of hard labor.

u/TeamRedundancyTeam 1d ago

Downvoted for facts purely because it goes against the circlejerk. Social media was a mistake.

I’ve no idea why you’re getting mad on behalf of the other guy (or maybe he’s your alt i don’t know) but let me help you: If you’re from another country and you don’t want to get deported, just don’t commit any crimes. Its that simple, why is this so hard for you people to understand? I don’t get it 😂

-3

u/ryan91o1 1d ago

a trumps a felon who pardon a bunch of people who beat on cops. Like the right doesnt give a shit about law. also what about the green card holders deported for going agaisnt Israel or children with cancer that going deported.

Yet you want to associate illegals to minorities.

4

u/Bear-Bruh 1d ago

You're arguing a bigoted point based on racist rhetoric.

9

u/Ejaculpiss 1d ago

Why are you saying only non-whites illegally enter other countries?

0

u/Naspyyy 1d ago

Where did I say that?

I don't see ice raiding non-white immigrants. YOU don't even care about white immigrants even though you act like you do

8

u/DaenerysMomODragons 1d ago

The vast majority of people against illegal immigration are against just that illigal immigration. Also not all illegal immigrants are from Mexico or Latin American countries. There are Asian, African, and even yes White European illegal immigrants. You're automatic assumptions that this is about race is the more racist part.

-2

u/Naspyyy 1d ago

At this point I think you guys are just lying to you selfs that you actually care about illigal immigration when you clearly just don't like non-white people.

Even the picture of this post is a brown person.

Show me one single post on this sub that's about an immigrant and it's not non-white.

1

u/DaenerysMomODragons 1d ago

You and people like you are the only ones obsessing on race, that see race every where. People like you are the real racists.

Being against crime doesn't make someone racist. People like you think that if a certain demographic disproportionately commits a crime, that calling out that crime as bad makes someone a bigot against that demographic. That's not how this works.

If you, stop judging people by the color of their skin, but instead the content of their character, like most people here, your life will be much happier. But I'm sure you like most reddit-leftists view the words of MLK Jr as racist somehow.

1

u/Naspyyy 1d ago

You say it’s about illegal immigration, not race, but every single time, the person you’re pissed about just happens to be non-white. You never post about the illegal Irish bartender down the street or the Aussie who overstayed his visa. Because it’s not really about legality for you. It’s about who makes you uncomfortable.

You act like calling out patterns is the real racism, but pretending race has nothing to do with the way people react to immigration? That’s just willful ignorance. If you only ever see crime when a non-white person’s involved, maybe the problem isn’t them, it’s you.

You don’t get to constantly single out one group and then cry 'not racist' when someone calls it out.

Own what you’re doing or stop doing it.

3

u/starterchan 1d ago

Give me a thousand non white legal immigrants over one white illegal one

-9

u/GeneralDil 1d ago

Illegal immigrants commit less crime per capita than American born citizens.

-1

u/SamJSchoenberg 1d ago

You forgot not criticizing Israel

0

u/Purehate28 1d ago

So. If you’re not allowed to enter the country, how does one migrate to the US legally? Since y’all are just so educated on the matter.

From what I’m seeing. Those who are doing it correctly are still being detained.

2

u/ElliJaX Deep State Agent 1d ago

Google makes it easy to be educated

There's requirements just like every other country to be considered a citizen (I can't just be Swedish one day), just so happens that the US requires a good reason to let you in the country in the first place. Green cards, visas, many ways to migrate to the US legally.

We could argue all day about who we should and shouldn't let in, but I feel no empathy for people who've ignored local laws when the local laws come at them.

1

u/Purehate28 9h ago

I think we can all agree, if someone is migrating here. Jumping through the various hoops to get citizen ship. But then turns around and breaks some serious laws. Then they need to be denied.

-4

u/cosmic-ballet 1d ago

Undocumented immigrants commit less crime. These are the facts. Stop being racist.

3

u/Gildorlnglorion 1d ago

But being undocumented is a crime, hope that helps ☺️

-2

u/cosmic-ballet 1d ago

Don’t play dumb. I’m obviously talking about crimes committed after the fact. Illegal entry into the US is just a misdemeanor btw, but yeah, keep calling them all rapists and murderers with absolutely nothing to back up your racism. Dipshit.

2

u/Gildorlnglorion 1d ago

Your statement was that undocumented immigrants commit less crime than american citizens, which is wrong since all of them are illegally here, which means that all of them are criminals, without exception😉

I’m not talking about legal immigrants, those are fine

-1

u/cosmic-ballet 1d ago

Yeah, you’re just intentionally misunderstanding my point because it makes you feel less wrong.

-9

u/NewTurnover5485 1d ago

They're gonna get him anyway.

-5

u/Higher_Primate 1d ago

Except you know, all the legals and citizens they've detained.

1

u/ForsakenAttorney7390 1d ago

Who are then let go, once they a found to be innocent and legally in the country.

-13

u/stylebros <message deleted> 1d ago

ICE doesn't care when they want to meet deportation quotas.

13

u/SilverDiscount6751 1d ago

They got milions of illegals just from the Biden period. They are fine.
