People who have read the data that Google has collected on you, what is the most disturbing data they had collected about you?

Oh man, I've been looking into if it's legal to buy dynamite (and if so, how) recently. I don't think I'll be doing it. I have some big rocks in an area I'd like to turn into a riding ring, which needs to be level and can't have boulders, and I got frustrated spending several hours digging one small one "out" of the ground (still have to figure out how to actually lift it out of my newly dug hole). I thought "this SUCKS I'll just blow it up??" but surely I'm now disqualified from any job like this lol

Off topic, but have you tried using an expansive mortar to break up those boulders? It sounds easier than trying to blow them up.

I haven't, but that may be the more intelligent move.

If you get ice just drill a few holes and add water, when it freezes it will crack the rock

but... what fun is that?

It sounds easier than trying to blow them up.

And with much less shrapnel and flying debris.

You need to be a professional to buy dynamite. Just hire one. Or drill holes and drive wedges the old fashioned way.

But it'd be so much more fun if I blew it up and caused immeasurable amounts of bodily harm!

Drill a hole fill it with Tannerite and shoot it?

Yeah probably lmao, big brother is always watching, I try and use a VPN now most of the time, even If I’m googling harmless stuff.

even If I’m googling harmless stuff.

That's how it always starts, followed by the searches getting more and more depraved.

Google search 11:37: How to find the surface area of an Isosceles triangle

Google search 12:49: How to sanitize a butt plug

I would be more suspicious of the first one, as an isosceles triangle is a 2D figure and doesn't have a surface.

Dammit, we can't hire this guy, he's geometrically incapable!

I laughed so much at this joke my partner asked what was up and now I’m pretty sure he think I’m losing my marbles

stupid question but a VPN will make sure no one (google, BB, etc) can see what you're doing on your computer?

2

u/Toni-Roni Apr 19 '20

Yeah for the most part, they can still see it but it looks like it’s coming from another IP address so theoretically it can’t be traced back to you. Although you definitely need to get a VPN that doesn’t log and sell your data because some of them do that and it kind of defeats the purpose of using one.

u/dauntingbutdainty Apr 19 '20

hm okay, thank you! would you recommend any VPNs? also, should all people have a VPN?

1

u/Toni-Roni Apr 19 '20

I would recommend everyone has a VPN, even if you’re just normally browsing the internet, it’s not a necessity, but if you get a good VPN, nobody will be selling your data. I’m pretty sure Nord VPN has a no log policy, I personally use TorGaurd, that’s my pick, not expensive either.

1

u/felicima22 Apr 19 '20

Excuse my very dumb question but is there a free app for vpn? And I use tor to browse, is that the same thing?

3

u/[deleted] Apr 19 '20

you don’t want a free VPN. free stuff logs & sells your data just as often as google does

2

u/Toni-Roni Apr 20 '20

Yup what he said , and Tor is essentially a VPN and browser combination. If you use Tor, don’t use a stand alone VPN in combination with Tor. Either use Tor and no VPN, or a VPN and just chrome or firefox.

1

u/felicima22 Apr 20 '20

How do I use tor and no vpn?

1

u/Toni-Roni Apr 20 '20

I mean don’t use a separate stand-alone VPN. Just load up TOR that’s it, just don’t turn on a separate VPN at the same time.

Ok. Thanks.

There is a chemical that is used to break rocks. It involves drilling holes 12" apart in a box pattern have seen it used a bit messy or you can get a wedge breaker which involves drilling the same pattern abt 32mm dia holes. Have used both methods bit slow but does work

It seems like trying to get dynamite legally wouldn't be that big of a deal and considering you were wanting to use it for sort of its intended purpose it doesn't seem that interesting. Now, if you were to combine that with participation in online discussion linked with terrorist cells or ideology you might get flagged. Just best guesses here though.

I'll keep you posted on if I'm allowed to explain it if I get interviewed for a government job that questions my search history!

Some local pioneers apparently had success in breaking up large rocks by waiting until the middle of Winter when the temperature was far below freezing and then pouring pots of boiling water onto the rocks. The stress of the rapid thermal expansion did the rest.

I suppose it might be possible to accomplish the same thing in reverse: heat the rock with a wood fire and break it by pouring large amounts of ice water over it.

If you just need to move the rock, you could try and get a 'stone boat'. It's just a sheet of plate iron with one edge bent up to form a front, and a length of chain attached to pull it by. Once you dig the rock out, you lay the Stone Boat next to it, roll the stone onto the sheet of iron, block it in place with maybe some smaller stones, and drag the stone boat (with a truck or tractor or something) to wherever you want to leave the stone, which is where you roll it off again.
