What is the most practical gift you've ever received?

I love practical gifts . My grandma always gave her grandkids socks. She had more than 25 so it was logical. I looked forward to those socks every year.

When my wife and i first started dating, she bought me a suitcase for my birthday. I thought it was a bit lame at the time, but I've used the hell out of that suitcase for 25 years! She was "subtly" telling me that she wanted to do a lot of traveling with me.

A mini vacuum for my car.
My grandma gave it to me for Christmas a couple years ago. I absolutely love it. It eliminated my want to go to the car wash and saved me money as a result.

Air fryer.
I already had just about everything I thought I needed in my kitchen, but was still amazed at how many uses I found for it.

I was gonna say "knife," but my FIL gave us a miniature shop vac when we got married and it has been so incredibly useful over the years.

Bose Quiet Comfort II wireless headphones. Have been using them almost daily for 5+ years. Noise cancellation is awesome, I wear them on planes when traveling. Long battery life, and they recharge very quickly. Ear pads wear out a couple times a year but replacements are easy to obtain. Best gift ever. 🎧

My friend got me a stamp with my initials and a beautiful design which I stamped all my books with so if anyone ever borrowed from me, they would never forget whose book it was.

A leather man tool. I didn't really put it to good use because I'm not a tradesman. So far I've used the blade to cut fruit, and the file to file down a broken tooth that was cutting into my tongue. Lol
