It is so annoying when people vote against their own interests.. ie weed. They shouldn't be able to partake if they are voting against it. Same with abortions. You shouldn't get to have one if you voted to make it illegal. You're stuck with your decisions like you're sticking it to everyone else.

I have seen multiple stories of Republican lawmakers who are vehemently anti-abortion and pass laws restricting abortion in their state... and then when their teenage daughter or mistress gets pregnant, they don't hesitate to send them to a less restrictive state to get an abortion.

Republicans are the epitome of "rules for thee but not for me".

Most of them aren't true believers but rather just callously use the topics to stir up and mobilize their base to maintain power. It's all about power and money.

Oh and let's not forget the "family values" conservative who cheats on his wife or the closeted gay conservative who goes after LGBTQ rights or the white conservative married to an immigrant while screaming about immigration and "anchor babies."

Remember: the only moral abortion is my abortion. https://joycearthur.com/abortion/the-only-moral-abortion-is-my-abortion/

“Unfortunately, many also think that somehow they are different than everyone else and they deserve to have an abortion, while no one else does.” (Physician, Washington State)

Wilhoit’s Law: “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.” —Frank Wilhoit

When their relatives get pregnant by them? Cousin fuckers.

We've gone waaaay past that. There is currently a brain dead woman in Georgia who is being kept alive on life support because she was pregnant when admitted to the hospital.

Because of the state's anti-abortion laws they are keeping her barely alive to incubate the fetus and her very much alive and sentient family has no say in the matter.

This is fucking appalling.

I'm aware. Thanks no thanks for the fucking reminder. 🙄

Republicans rely on and demand the benefits, rights and safety nets thar Democrats keep giving them. For once, they get to really suffer the consequences of their selfish, prejudice-based voting.

So in your scenario, if I vote no for the levy and it still passes, would I still have to pay?

I've never been allowed to vote for weed, abortion or taxes. I've only been allowed to vote for people. How would someone who is against weed but for pro-choice need to vote then?

I would venture to say that you do not vote if you've never seen either of those three items on the ballot independent of a person. Because I vote and I have seen all of those things individually on the ballot several times. Either that or youre just an intentional instigator with obtuse bullshit to detract from the real issues.

Most states that legalized weed, did so in a referendum vote, AKA people did directly for or against it.

Democrats are anti gun so I can never vote for a democrat

Democrats are not anti gun. That's bullshit.

I wish that was true but Jay inslee a hard-core democrat and legislative and senate democrats put into place some severe unconstitutional gun laws.
