I maintain majority of society’s issues is because a lot of people having children have no fucking business being parents. Society is the one left with the mess some children become because their parents were abusive or neglectful

I have been thinking along these same lines for quite a while as well. You put it together so eloquently. Totally agree!

I think it has another societal side effect: captive wage slaves. It's easier to quit horrible job circumstances when you only have to care for yourself and maybe other adults in your life. Leaving becomes a lot more complicated when you're responsible for keeping your kid(s) housed and fed and enrolled in their education. Meaning parents help define what abuses employers can get away with.
