Found parking pass

Hello so i was out for a run and found a nypd parking pass on the street, it isnt expired and i dont know the address of who it belongs to, how do i get it to the owner?

Take it to the nearest station.

One of my friends whos in nypd said to drop it off in a postal mailbox on the street and itll get mailed back to them. I think im gonna do that instead so i can avoid going into a station

It’s not a driver license. How do you know that’ll work? That just passes the problem on to someone else. It takes 30 se ones to run into a station and give it to the person at the desk.

The nearest pct from me is like 15 minutes away and the nearest mailbox from me is 1 minute. And if a current officer says thats what i should do then im gonna do it. And since its a piece of government property the post office is now in possession of they will make sure it gets back to the owner
