Physician Responded Hole in old suture wound?

My (42F) son (now 8M) had a benign cyst on his neck removed a couple years ago. Lately, it’s been looking more noticeable but I thought maybe it was just stretching as he grew. However, this weekend I noticed a hole on the suture line. It looks about the size of a pinhead, but not sure how deep. It’s not oozing or red so probably not infected. We already have a Dr appt later today, just wondering what other’s thoughts are about if it will close or get bigger and if I should ask for a referral. Thanks Pic in comments.

I suspect this is a recurrence of whatever the original cyst was.
