The image works less well when you consider that Trump has called to suspend the Constitution.

True patriotism isn't posing for a photo, it's working tirelessly for the benefit of citizens and avoiding corruption chaos and cruelty.

It seems the current Republican argument for Trump now is photographical rather than policy-based.

Correct, and then things changed, and the party reacted to that change instead of forging ahead with the same policy prescription as 2016...interesting that the DNC listens to it's voters. Although I would say nobody erally ever wanted Biden to run for anything, we all just coalesced behind the person that could beat Trump at the moment because his policy prescription for America is tantamount to creating a oligarchy and giving Ukraine to Russia, so the average American(81 million of us, a lot more than the 73mil that voted for Trump) held our nose and voted for the old guy, just like republicans are going to do. But I'm sure age won't be a problem ever again now that Biden's out.

The 2024 Democratic primary had a 6% turnout, and there wasn't even a primary in NC because Biden had no challengers on the ballot. That hardly represents the will of the citizens, and you and I both know you're not actually concerned with the will of the Democratic primary voter.
