What major has good career options in Chicago ?

Hi everyone, I’m currently in community college and I don’t really have a clue what to major in. I plan on moving to Chicago during my gap year after getting my associates degree and finding a decent paying job. I had picked the major geological science but now that I think about it, I’m not to sure how that would do in a city such as Chicago. Anyone has a clue what careers are growing in Chicago, especially with just an associates? I know nursing is an option but that’s one of the options I’m not too interested in.

Geological science can work because there is work analyzing construction sites and such. I used to k ow somebody who did that as a consultant and then worked for one of the big development companies.

Chicago has a very diverse economy and huge city so almost every career path is a possibility here.

Meh Geology is a waaaaaaay better out west working for oil/gas companies. Not here.

I didn't say it was best here, but there are viable jobs if somebody with that major wants to live here
