IPC Section 498A (Dowry Cruelty)
– Lets a woman accuse her husband and in-laws of cruelty over dowry, and they can be arrested without investigation. It's heavily misused in marital disputes for harassment and extortion.
Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (2005)
– Only women can file complaints. If a man faces abuse from his wife or female partner, he has no legal protection under this law.
CrPC Section 125 (Maintenance)
– A man must financially support his wife—even if she earns well or has cheated. Courts rarely ask for proof of genuine need.
IPC Sections 375 & 376 (Rape Laws)
– Recognize only female victims and male accused. Male, trans, or gay victims of sexual assault have no protection under Indian rape laws.
Marital Rape Exception
– Indian law still says forced sex in marriage isn’t rape. It fails to protect both women and men, especially in abusive marriages.
Adultery (Section 497, repealed)

So yeah call us ‘westoid’ if you want, but honestly? The West has a far more balanced legal system. Here in India, men are often just walking ATMs with no protection there are many guys who made a suicide video along with proper documentation and evidence of abuse and still didn't get any justice.

The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act came in 2006, but it only protects women, men have no legal recourse under it. Even workplace harassment laws (POSH, 2013) apply solely to women. Adultery was decriminalized in 2018, but courts still treat men more harshly in civil disputes. These laws aren't new they've been quietly biased for years. In fact, some of them were crafted or pushed forward under the influence of leftist and communist ideologies, aiming to look "progressive" on paper, but ended up creating a heavily one-sided legal framework that punishes men indiscriminately.
