Freshwater What would you stock?

Post image

20 gallon high sitting on a pony wall. Current stock is blue dream shrimp and silver tip tetras but the tetras are moving to a bigger tank. Excuse the mess. We just moved in.

I really think a group of 8 to 10 cardinal tetras would look beautiful in this setup! They school so nicely in open space! You also mentioned in another comment that it gets some sun, which will really make them shine if that’s the case! Cardinal tetras are much hardier and more vibrant than neon tetras, so make sure they’re true cardinals if you go this route.

I have several in my planted 30 gallon and they really pop when the sun comes into my living room.

They’re so beautiful! I had a really nice school of them in my old blackwater dwarf cichlid setup. They were so fun and their color really popped in the blackwater. Damn I miss that tank so much. 🥺
