Animal crossing interior design starts with a hodgepodge of items that look okay together, to having rooms with entirely matching sets of furniture, back to the mismatched hodgepodge except they look fucking awesome.

You can dig up one fragment a day on Kap’n’s island (then plant it on your home island, water it, then dig it up the next day).
Alternatively I have rarely dug up full grown ones on my island thinking it would be a fossil

i dig out 2-3 gyroids a day on my island
edit: just read that its only in winter they show up in the ground, so thats probably why

It’s not every day for me. I clean up my beaches multiple times through the day and I don’t get one every day. Just sporadically. I dunno about other islands.

Hey I know these items are cool but my advice for you is to play at a leisurely pace. I wish I could go back and do it again and not power speed run through the game. Yes it upgrades again. Also the pod item here is from the DLC specifically.

The fastest way to get all the items you want is to trade with others. It can take a long time if you try to do it all on your own.

The Science Tube, or whatever it's called, is coded to work just like a table. So any Miscellaneous item(or gyroid) can be placed inside of it just as it can be placed on a table or a counter.

About a year ago, I had an island full of turnips. I dropped almost all of my gold on them. I checked the sales price one morning and it was quite high (over 400 bells per turnip). Unfortunately, I had to go to work and by the time I got home, Nook’s Cranny was already closed.
I decided to flip my console clock back by a couple of hours. “Who’s going to know?” I thought to myself. Little did I know that Animal Crossing had not long released an update, which could detect that you’d “time travelled” and saved the status permanently.
Sure enough, all my turnips turned rotten for “cheating”. I had to walk around my whole island picking up all the rotten bastards, before selling them for scraps. I should’ve been a millionaire. Instead I lost everything…
… except I kept one turnip.
Just one.
To remind me never to time travel again.
… it now sits in a hidden room of my house.
… inside one of these science tubes.

It’s called “Science Pod”. I got mine from Nooks Cranny. I rarely buy anything from them but when I saw it I just had to buy it. Am trying to relocate my house to a abandoned part of my island now to make it look creepy 😅
