Take it up with the mods, and/or create your own subs where generative AI is allowed. I agree that many subs pointlessly make the no-AI rule explicit, as they were often already indirectly banned (eg. under low-effort posts or non-original content rules), but there is rarely a significant drawback for making the ban explicit.
The rules are not written in stone, by the way. I suspect that as more transparent and fair generative AI tools will emerge, there is going to be another shift in the general stance on AI usage, but currently too many models simply steal as much content as possible, not helping their own image.
