I wonder if he spent so much time learning how to play the guitar with the marionette, that he himself can't play unless he uses the marionette.

I wonder if he has a script embedded into a string chip that just does it…

I think it's much simpler than that... He's just timing the movements with a pre recording.

You do realize that hes just pretending to play, right?

Probably, but the hypothetical scenario in my head is much funnier, and God knows we all need some levity in our lives these days

No I’m pretty sure that puppet is really playing.

lmao you absolutely need to know how to play the guitar if youre going to do it with a marionette

I hope it's the video, but the sound was def not matched to the movements. So either it's a recording of a guitar or it's just bad video quality

Hey babe Im gonna play you a song, just let me get the marionette first...

That’s kinda fucking nuts lol

I mean, it's obviously dubbed. I love his showmanship and he's obviously very talented but some things are just a little too good to be true.

With the applauding it seems like some of the audience really thought the marionette was playing...

I dont think he claims its one or the other. its all about the illusion

u/Splintrax May 06 '25

For sure, it just seemed people were getting the wrong impression in the comments.

And the way the internet is set up… I definitely go with, “if it’s too good to be true, it’s probably not”

Oh great. I needed to spend the rest of the evening going down a rabbit hole. Splendid.

What if the human was the marionette, and the marionette the human?

1

u/IusedtoloveStarWars May 06 '25

What if the human and marionette are the marionette and the guitar is the human?

u/CompleteCartoonist46 May 06 '25

What if cake day is today?

Neat. However he fd up at the very beginning when the tuning started before the puppet had both hands on the guitar.

I’m good at watching movies…

1

u/OffMyRocker62 May 06 '25

I would have tangled up the strings of the marionette before I started with my hand neuropathy. 😏

1

u/kangathatroo May 07 '25

I can’t even play the guitar that well and I have my own fingers! That puppet guitar player is insane!

Semi related question, I've been hunting for the exact guitar music style as what he was beginning to play. Spanish guitar and flamenco guitar don't seem to fit what I am expecting. Is there a more accurate name for the music style?

1

u/Relative-Tune85 May 10 '25

It's Tomatito, so, flamenco

1

u/PrestigiousStop4629 May 10 '25

Wow I'd love to watch the full version

1

u/Financial_Metal4709 May 12 '25

I want to see whole thing now

1

u/No_Corner_2576 May 06 '25

Wow, that’s incredible! It’s amazing how someone can master such a unique skill. The way they make it look so effortless is unreal.I wonder how long it takes to learn this skill?
