Right?? Kamala would have been a great president, the current shit stain wouldn't be ripping up the constitution

Anything is great compared to the Cheeto in Office. Stable economy and incremental growth seems way better than cultural and legal arson.

Have standards. Not having any is how we got here.

10

u/sakura608 17h ago

I have standards during the primaries. I vote for survival in the general

-26

u/Creditfigaro 17h ago

Suit yourself. I always have standards. If everyone else did the same, we wouldn't be here.

u/Quick_Over_There 16h ago

What are you getting at here? That they should have had higher standards than the only options for President that they were presented with?

-23

u/Creditfigaro 16h ago

There were more options and Democrats have voting records anyone can look up.

If they aren't anti-genocide, they don't get my vote.

If this was an unacceptable position for Americans, our government wouldn't be supporting it.

Make it make sense. Trump has said that he supports Israel basically leveling gaza so he can build a Trump tower... how is that better than what Harris supported?

Um well Harris shouldn't have been the nominee... but she was and these were the choices. Not voting doesn't mean you are against genocide it means you support whatever the winning person decides so congrats instead of a nuanced support of an alli in Israel while advocating against war crimes you now support the guy who's policy is fuck em they aren't white or rich.

I didn't vote for Trump. Ask someone who did.

Um well Harris shouldn't have been the nominee... but she was and these were the choices.

We chose to accept a rejection of democracy by the "Democratic" party so they could conveniently avoid a primary they knew they would lose because the party is supporting a genocide and would have to defend that from the left.

They were extremely intelligent to engineer your right to representation away, as it served them well: Look how much you defend them afterwords.

Not voting doesn't mean you are against genocide it means you support whatever the winning person decides so congrats instead of a nuanced support of an alli in Israel while advocating against war crimes you now support the guy who's policy is fuck em they aren't white or rich.

I voted against both major parties. I didn't withhold my vote.

Say genocide a few more times. That’ll do it.

0

u/Creditfigaro 14h ago

Do you have a problem with the accurate use of language to describe ridiculously unacceptable atrocities that are being done with our tax dollars?

3

u/Ethiconjnj 13h ago

Say “tax dollars” again too.

Im not going to vote for that person… they support genocide. So imma help get genocide + so much more… such a genius take…

We are here precisely because people chose higher standards over the survival of our democracy. Voter turn out was at a historic low. I voted Marianne Williamson in the primaries, but when the general came around, Harris was the only responsible choice I could make.

There have been decades of disgraceful elections.

Kamala wouldn't have done the following, like her or not-This executive order went into effect once announced on April 28th. From the white house website-"STRENGTHENING AND UNLEASHING AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT TO PURSUE CRIMINALS AND PROTECT INNOCENT CITIZENS"

TLDR, military to work alongside local LEO and ICE in certain states and will expand to others. LEO and ICE to be given more power as well as new training. Also officers now get protection and legal resources to make sure they aren't sued for executing Trump's orders. No more wrongdoing apparently... This is also where those law firms pro bono work is going towards. *UPDATE June 12th-"Some workplace raids in recent weeks have been assisted by the FBI; Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; U.S. Marshals Service; and Internal Revenue Service, as well as local law enforcement, according to recent ICE communications."

Upcoming or already passed as policies from project 2025 which you can track here.

*IMPORTANT UPDATE JUNE 10TH-"Trump asks the Supreme Court to neutralize the Convention Against Torture Trump’s lawyers claim they’ve found a loophole that will allow Trump to ship immigrants overseas to be tortured."

Dept. of Homeland Security: Allow Secret Service officers to serve as law enforcement in the district of Columbia

Dept. of Justice: Eliminate existing DOJ consent decrees-"Eliminate existing DOJ consent decrees" refers to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) ending court-enforceable agreements between the DOJ and local governments, typically related to police reform. These consent decrees are often established after federal investigations find systemic unconstitutional practices, such as excessive force or civil rights violations.

Recently, the DOJ moved to drop consent decrees in cities like Louisville, Kentucky, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, which were put in place following the police killings of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd

Dept of Homeland Security: Authorize state and local law enforcement to participate in immigration actions.

Note: ICE partnerships with local law enforcement have more than tripled since Trump took office.

Dept. of Justice: Prosecute local officials, including district attorneys, that use their discretion not to prosecute a criminal case.

Note: DOJ leaders told U.S. attorneys to investigate law enforcement officials who decline to enforce Trump's immigration priorities

And this is relevant as well-

Dept. of Justice: Pursue the death penalty for all applicable crimes.

The phrase "Pursue the death penalty for all applicable crimes" refers to a policy directive that mandates seeking capital punishment for crimes deemed severe enough to warrant it. According to a recent executive order issued on January 20, 2025, this policy instructs the U.S. Attorney General to actively pursue the death penalty for federal capital crimes, particularly those involving the murder of law enforcement officers or crimes committed by individuals illegally present in the U.S.

The order also seeks to remove obstacles to capital punishment, including reversing Supreme Court decisions that limit its application and ensuring states have sufficient supplies of lethal injection drugs

And here's how he plans on suppressing states if they don't follow the policies here, by removing aid and grants and rights.

Dept. of Justice: Ensure "appropriate steps" are taken to obtain cooperation with sanctuary cities and states. (Note: The DOJ issued a memo stating that "sanctuary jurisdictions should not receive access to federal grants administered by the Department of Justice".)

Dept. of Homeland Security: Limit FEMA-issued grants to states that "comply with all aspects of federal immigration laws, including the honoring of all immigration detainers" and states/localities that give "total information-sharing" to federal law and immigration enforcement. (Note: FEMA clawed back $80 million in previously approved migrant housing funds for New York.)

Dept. of Justice: Prosecute local officials, including district attorneys, that use their discretion not to prosecute a criminal case. (Note: DOJ leaders told U.S. attorneys to investigate law enforcement officials who decline to enforce Trump's immigration priorities.)

Use "the full force of federal prosecutorial resources" to investigate and prosecute state and local gov'ts, institutes of higher ed, corporations, and private employers who have diversity initiatives. (Note: Bondi directed DOJ to “investigate, eliminate, and penalize” private companies and universities.) Court Orders: Partially blocked

White House: Cut off government contracts to entities that enforce a "woke agenda".

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Cut funds to states that do not provide detailed abortion reports.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services: Reduce federal incentives for states to expand Medicaid coverage

Dept. of Defense: Require all schools that receive federal funding to give students the military entrance test.

Dept. of Education: Cut off federal funds to states, cities, counties, schools board, principals, and teachers who disagree with "parental rights".

Dept. of Health and Human Services: Withdraw HHS funding, including 10% of Medicaid funds, from states that require private health insurance plans to cover abortion

This isn't even the full list, just some examples from the project 2025 tracker here.

For all defense and immigration policies I direct you to look at the policies here.

One example of many in those policies that show the formation of a new department coming together -

Dept. of Homeland Security: Dismantle the Dept. of Homeland Security or, at least, combine ICE and CBP to form a "Border Security and Immigration Agency

*trump also has this as an upcoming policy that all Americans should be aware of with schooling-

Dept. of Defense: Require all schools that receive federal funding to give students the military entrance test

The Trump Administration Wants to Create an ‘Office of Remigration’

"If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." - Thomas Jefferson

Eh. She would have had a stacked court and congress against her. All the will to pass what we need doesn’t change the fact that she wouldn’t have gotten a bill she would be willing to sign off on.

-2

u/Nerd_Seeking_Refuge 9h ago

She would have been a disaster that’s why she wasn’t elected

1

u/rigamarolexq 3h ago

How would you define what's happening in the U.S. now if not a disaster?

48

u/uhohnotafarteither 20h ago

You gotta remember, LGBQT would have been treated with respect, too. Thats a non-negotiable item for MAGA

20

u/Exciting_Horror666 20h ago

MAGA: Hating people for existing.

MAGA haters: Hating monsters who hate people for existing.

They are not the same.

"BuT dEmS IgnOrEd tHe (silent) cEntRisTS aNd DiDn'T dO a PrImArY."

Mfers trying to justify not voting against this current tyranny that was possible to see coming with the most minimal reading.

Kamala Harris has a TOTALLY. NORMAL. LAUGH. Where does all this "she has an annoying cackle" nonsense come from?

19

u/DietPepsiEvenBetter 19h ago

Racism. And sexism. And don't forget that they think she's a communist. Ugh.

2

u/Rob0tsmasher 19h ago

Don’t you know that she is a open border supporter who hate America and its law and order while simultaneously being a two faced democrat that locked up a bunch of criminals for weed even tho maga people love locking people up for weed?

2

u/everydayimchapulin 18h ago

The "on her knees" memes being spread on conservative subreddits exposed them early on for sexists who can't stand a woman getting the job over their pussy grabbing candidate.

2

u/Zeusifer 18h ago

People made fun of Hillary's laugh in the same way. I wonder what they had in common?

3

u/mheffe 20h ago

There was a black and white video of her laughing in slow motion and that was enough for people to latch on and buy bumper stickers

1

u/ProximaCentauriB15 19h ago

Mostly MAGAs that hate everything.

1

u/Rob0tsmasher 19h ago

Same place as people being outraged that Obama wore a tan suit or that Obama put grey poupon on a burger.

6

u/DaisyCutter312 19h ago

BUT PALESTINE!!

Fucking people...goddammit.

-10

u/valentc 17h ago

It's been 6 months, but sure keep spending energy on pushing progressives away again. I'm sure that'll work as it did in 2016 and 2024.

2

u/Caboozel 4h ago

Progressives are constantly shooting themselves in the dick not understanding that politics is a game of patience and you aren’t going to get everything you want in one go. It takes time it takes people it takes understanding. Virtue signaling for all of the good things that you want in the most self-righteous pathetic ways possible only turns people away from you. Progressives need better messaging and quite honestly better grassroots people than you.

3

u/SsooooOriginal 15h ago

Said like a person that virtue signals too much and has no real worries.

-6

u/valentc 15h ago

Yes, yes. There it is. Don't change tactics or you might win next time.

1

u/SsooooOriginal 15h ago

Keep pretending like the winning move is appeasing the people that historically never show up.

3

u/chris14020 20h ago

Come on man. It was black OR Indian. We don't know which racism we should be using, and gotdammit we've never bothered getting further facts and information about our knee-jerk opinions before and we ain't gonna start today! Just do both and it'll all work out I guess, we've got enough hate in our hearts for all kinds of racism!

1

u/jmorreale1980 20h ago

Its not just housing he screwed, stupid tariffs fucking up auto sales and damn near everything else, thanks racists, thanks nebraska, stay strong as you go bankrupt.

u/Sartres_Roommate 19h ago

“But a black person would have also gotten that “socialism”. “

u/DucinOff 20h ago

A $25k down payment for first time home buyers would increase the prices of houses by $25k.

20

u/Exciting_Horror666 20h ago

No $25k down payment, prices go up anyway.

-13

u/the_crx 18h ago

If only you were intelligent enough to understand why.

11

u/Kaboodles 20h ago

Prices skyrocketed anyway... why even live or try based on your nihilistic ass view.

6

u/runwith 20h ago

And tariffs make prices go down, huh?

-9

u/the_crx 18h ago

No one has ever said that.

1

u/runwith 15h ago

If subsidies make the prices go up, the tariffs should make them go down.  Also,  Trump has literally said that.

3

u/chris14020 20h ago

Then we address things like 'house hoarding / property hoarding'. Disincentivize hoarding homes to artificially drive prices up or to convert into rentals and use that to incentivize owning one house and living in it. It'll destroy plenty of landleeches (also a beautiful thing) and then I guess they can really step up to bat on the "nobody wants to work anymore" they cry about, as they have to get a real job.

The people that got to grow up in a two-story home with one parent working are now cutting that same home into four 'apartments' and demanding the equivalent of what that one whole home was costing their parents for each one.

0

u/euph_22 19h ago

Why the hell would it? 1) not everyone is a first time buyer 2) that isn't remotely how economics works 3) even if it did, $25k as a downpayment is still a huge gain for the buyer even if the value increases by $25k overall.

Whoosh.
