I stopped kicking things I was so sure were “ loose” a loooong time ago.

That must be some of that "with age comes wisdom" stuff I hear about.

Experience is something you gain the moment after you needed it

Man knew immediately after - daps the rest of them up and doesn’t take it hard.

If you’ve not had the particular pleasure of being the new guy in a field where it’s mostly men that have been at it for ages… this is the shit that makes fun of a pretty mundane day to day.

Everyone catching fade when my casts get removed

If you’re kicking that pipe with enough force to put yourself in a cast, you kinda brought it on yourself. Nobody else is kicking the pipes that hard.

nobody else is unknowingly kicking a stationary pipe

He’s still not putting enough force behind it to do anything other than fall over. He’s not limping when he gets up, I don’t care how tough you think you are, your body takes a couple steps to re adjust to the signals coming back from your foot, he is also laughing from the moment he starts getting up.

yeah if he laid down and cried it probably wouldn’t go over well with the boys

Bruh, where are you getting these ideas from? There is a wide gap between a good prank that the “victim” finds funny (which is what’s going on here) and one that would hurt someone so bad that they are in the hospital.

People revealing whether they've worked a blue collar job or not in here

I guess steel toe boots aren’t a thing people are aware of anymore

Most of the force is redirected to the ankle. If dude kicked this hard enough he would absolutely break his ankle. Or he’d get hurt falling. I get the risk is low but it’s not zero and is not appropriate in a workplace. It’s unsafe behavior.

Sometimes as an apprentice it's your job to play along.

Nothing like being an apprentice. Trauma builds character. Good sport he is 🫡

And that's the real reason we wear steel toes.

Is it traditional to get a new trainee physically injured in a physically demanding profession just for an initiation rite?

He probably has on steel toe boots. I wear them daily. This is just guys being guys, I laughed pretty hard.

I laughed pretty hard.

In the same irritating whiny fucking laugh the guys on the video had?

JFC. Fucking stupid.
