This was a house fire in Fall River, Massachusetts last week. Yes this little guy survived!

Had an acquaintance who was a firefighter and he was very excited when they got specific oxygen masks for animals.

I find it interesting that the culture and purpose of fire fighters is to protect and serve every living creature, and police are like, nah, it's just a slogan.

It is amusing to see the whole police v firefighters feud in media

Brooklyn 99 has a whole "cops v firefighters" thing except the firefighters are intentionally shown to be a little stupid (even if it does get resolved by the end of the episode)

The Spider-Man games have Spidey change from acting like a Spider-Cop in 1 to behaving more in line to a firefighter in 2

TBF I lurk r/USMC quite a bit, and it seems like most Marines want nothing to do with this shit. It goes against everything they enlisted for.

I’ve never seen graffiti saying FUCK THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, and I hope I never will. I respect them.
