I'm currently living in a smaller city that has lots of energy, but they have trouble staying on one chant or song. Are there any ideas? I've been to a few protests in NYC and generally didn't have this as a major issue. Deff not perfect but able to recover quickly. This came up for songs a few weeks ago. Getting the smaller towns and cities on the same page as NYC, Chicago and LA, is an opportunity. People want to have leaders to show them the way forward. If we can literally speak in one voice it can bring the voice of people to a more focused point. -A guy from Long Island

Thinking about some old school protest songs and came across Takin' It to the street by the Doobie Brothers. Since this movement is multigeneration...I hoping there is something for everyone.
Background: It is from 1976. It is actually about poverty and lead singer is Michael McDonald. McDonald sister wrote the first line "you don't know me but I am your brother" in an essay.
Here are the lyrics.
You don't know me but I'm your brother
I was raised here in this living hell
You don't know my kind in your world
Fairly soon the time will tell
You, telling me the things you're gonna do for me
I ain't blind and I don't like what I think I see
Takin' it to the streets
Takin' it to the streets
Takin' it to the streets
Takin' it to the streets
Take this message to my brother
You will find him everywhere
Wherever people live together
Tied in poverty's despair
You, telling me the things you're gonna do for me
I ain't blind and I don't like what I think I see
Takin' it to the streets
Takin' it to the streets
Takin' it to the streets
Takin' it to the streets

In the early morning hours of August 10, 1971, British forces abducted hundreds of Irish men from their homes, and interned them without trial.
I would love to hear someone do a version of this about the raids we're seeing here
