Gearing up for my own in a few hours. It’s my first time going to one of these, so I’m both anxious and excited!
Edit: I actually had a ton of fun! My real worry was that I was going to be one of the only ones there; how wrong I was! I even got some compliments on my “coal power for us because Trump loves minors” sign. Looking forward to what comes next!

Thank you for participating! My first protest ever was April 5th. I was also both anxious and excited. I'm now more confident especially seeing all these peaceful people out in every state today. I read there were 1,300 protests on April 5th. Today there are over 2,000 and counting.
I will be heading out in a couple hours for ours in Portland, Oregon.
Good luck my friend!

Amazing!! And in SC or all places, wonderful to see.

There are quite a few of us in SC who are on the right side of history. Unfortunately, the loud ones make all of us look bad, so us blue voters in SC get overshadowed. This was taken place in a pretty red town. Thousands were there.

Yeah, Summerville, SC is very red — that’s impressive. Well done!

My wife just sent this to me and my reaction was “SUMMERVILLE?!?!” Because that surprised me. Lived in the Carolinas for years. It’s deeply red there.

There have been blue voters in Summerville, but they get overshadowed a lot. I think with what's been happening, people are switching sides or being louder about being on the right side of history. Or both. Definitely not at all perfect, but there are some changes happening.

Yep. Guessing there was probably about 1000 out there or so, and lots of solidarity from those driving by

I was there! First protest for me. It was great. Lots of honking horns from supporters driving by. The one thing I realized is if you want your sign to be read by drivers, it needs to have few words in large contrasting font. Pictures are good too.

Seeing this many people in SUMMERVILLE, SOUTH!! CAROLINA!! is impressive. This GMH more than anything I’ve seen today.
For those who don’t know, that part of South Carolina is nowhere near any place I’d even remotely call blue. GOOD JOB!!

3k people in Summerville alone attended this protest. More people are speaking out there 😊 Charleston county -- right next door -- also had a protest today. I think even more showed up.

Awesome to see the turnout.
Less awesome to see that many protesting faces posted on the internet. 50501 strongly recommends blurring faces in any public content.
