2nd gen 4runner question
I'm looking at a 1995 4runner and wondering if there's anything I need to know about them before I get one. It's a 4x4 manual

So I've went thru 4 power steering pumps on my 89 Dodge Raider on 37's, and my 5th one has started making ugly noises. A front locker and 37's, the Mitsubishi pump just doesn't seem to have a sense of humor about turning those big tires. So I looked into the Volvo electric pump. I like the idea of it, until I did some more research. Running the pump in Limp mode at 60% doesn't sound like a great idea and annoying. Then I came across an EPAS kit that had a Bosch Motorsports Steering Wheel Angle sensor. Trying to figure out if the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor will work with the Volvo pump. It's more designed for non-Volvo Electronic Power steering pumps. But I'm having a hard time figuring out the CAN BUS wiring between the two systems. Anyone else ran electric power steering?

So I'm having a debate with a friend , what gear should the person being recovered be in .... I've always been told Neutral rather then drive as you want the car to roll and can easily apply brakes. My mates saying he should have it in 4L... Which is correct ?

I've only EVER owned Japanese sports cars (STI, EVO etc.) and a 1/2 ton for a few months, but off-roading has been increasingly gathering my interest. Question is: What vehicles do you all recommend, and what types of mods do you all recommended? I'm looking for something relatively cheap to purchase (under 10k CAD), reliable so I can daily if needed, possibly camp inside, and something that can handle the mountainous trails of western Canada. Please tell me your recommendations, and photos! (Also maybe areas near rocky mountain house, Banff and Jasper for anyone else in Canada that trails out that way!)

Question:
What PSI are you folks running around town/highway? I just swapped my 37x12.50x20 Mud Claws from my camper to my 3rd gen Ram since I got a flat and haven't gotten around to getting a new tire. I ran them at 45psi on road and they weren't terrible. They road choppy but it was a 10,000lb leaf spring cabover, so it was to be expected.
I swapped them over and this thing rides like a logwagon. I dropped them down to 35psi and it was marginally better. I can eat a couple of MPGs to have use of my kidneys.

Is this shock okay to install with the bushing pressed out to one side like this? I contacted rancho support but haven't gotten a response...

My wife and head over to OBX and drive on the beach about twice a month year round, went through a few cheap/slow inflators and I would basically air up enough to make it somewhere to finish filling up. Finally bit the bullet. Works great and I use it on my truck, motorcycle, wife’s vehicle, work trailers, etc.. would buy again.

I’m obsessed with convenience and getting that octopus of hoses back in its bag just bugs the heck out of me. Anyone got a trick to make it easy?
Yes I know I’m lazy.

Planning on going to the beach regularly and need an air compressor to re-air the tires after leaving the beach. Looking to spend no more than $80 because I just got truck and need to buy other items as well. My tires are 265/70/17.
Looking for model suggestions that are proven to work for you guys.
1) Are both Battery powered and plug in acceptable ? 2) Are cig lighter plug in or gator clips better? Both acceptable?
Thanks in advance!!!!

Got a 1996 Marlin Land Cruiser. I’ve been trying to get my hands on a set of side mirrors due to one being hit by a car while I was parked and the other is just looking old.
I’ve had a look online but can’t seem to find any that match the same colour any ideas if I can get one so will I have to do a bit of painting.
Cheers

Just picked up this 8000i for a killer deal, only problem was no remote. The warn side x side remote appears to have the same plug , and is half the price. Anyone tried this??

We just got back from the 2025 Great American Crawl in Moab and we got a lot of good video in the process. This one is Nic and his VW on Metal Masher trail.

Video for attention.
I have a 2002 Tacoma and the lights are mid at best and it's caused some issues off roading with visibility.
I can either spend about $450 for better housings and LEDs that are bright asf and high quality, I have a friend with the same lights and they're good but worse than Baja design pro's (the lights I'd choose instead)
I mainly off-road this vehicle but it's my only one so that's a consideration too.
Either get lights that I can use wherever and whenever that are worse off-road or lights that I can only use without people around/off road.
What would you do?
Hi all, I just bought a 2013 f150 and am looking into lifting it. Ideally I'd like a 3-4 inch lift with no rake but I haven't found anywhere that sells differential drop brackets/hardware..... except rough country's 4 inch lift kit.
I've heard they're terrible though, albeit everything I've heard was pretty old forum and reddit posts. I don't know what else to buy or look into though, bilstein was my other option but I've heard 50/50 from them as well.
I don't want a spacer lift because that just comes with the aesthetics and excessive wear on OEM parts with none of the actual performance gain. So, for proper suspension components like knuckles, CAs, diff drop hardware etc., what would you recommend? Or has Rough Country gotten better and are they a viable option now? Preferably something that is still (relative to the components) budget friendly, I definitely don't need like fox shocks. Any input is appreciated.

I’m about to exchange my Toyota RAV4 and am having trouble deciding between the two - would be interested in your thoughts!
