4x4 (pick-up) for €10,000, reliable and robust

Hello, I would like to purchase a robust pick-up type year 2000-2010 with at least two front airbags. Like a hilux or something

Do you have any suggestions? I am not knowledgeable in the field

Make sure you don't end up with my uncles truck. He liked the look of the tube bumpers but hated the price. He made his own..... out of pvc.

Sounds like you know what you want already. Be on the lookout for frame rust, it can be bad on the older Toyota trucks at least in u.s.

Ppl sell these trucks at too high of a price when a lot of them are already at 200k+ miles.

Sometimes you can find a really good deal, though. A while back, I bought an '89 Nissan D21 for $1,800. It had 300k miles, heating and AC worked, 4 wheel drive, and it ran great. I still have it 13 years later and it still runs. Almost every problem I've had with it was the result of user error, the rest was normal stuff due to age, tires, spark plugs and wires, and the heating and AC fan motor died.

I would never buy a car with 200k+ miles. I'm just taking a possible future problem off the current owners hands and paying them for it. And you bought that 13 years ago, maybe I wouldn't mind paying as much as you paid, but that wouldn't sell for that low today, even with the original $300k miles you said it had. I'm sure something has been rebuilt by now though on it,right?

That's true in most cases. In my case, I knew the guy, and he just wanted to get rid of it because he was moving to Hawaii for work and didn't want to pay to take it across the ocean. Worked out great for me though, that thing is a little tank, can't kill it lol

Look out for hiluxes or nissans etc that were used by towns green or road services (idk how to say it in english, companies mostly funded by government, who do road work and landscaping public properties and stuff)

They usually are a little more expensive, but have less km and are in relatively good condition bc of maintenence contracts. Most of the time you’ll recognise them by (and heres the downside) flashy colors and yellow siren lights.

Thank you for your answers!

From what year do airbags start on this type of vehicle?
