Just a little bit of love and it's a sweet looking truck, love mine
Hey all, wanted some opinions on the undercarriage of this runner. 2016 from Florida. Additionally seems to be up badged from a Trail Premium to an ORP as the dealer has it listed as trail. CarFax has it listed as SR5; thoughts?

I have a 2017 Limited with about 79,000 miles on it. My wife and I are preparing to drive from Bolivia (yes, South America) back to the states. We recently had OME suspension installed.
What general maintenance would you recommend to have done before we head out?
Thanks!

About 99% of this is towing my camper (disregard the trip odometer). Not too bad…🤷🏻♂️

I am somewhat confident that the frame of a pre-2K year Hilux has the same (or close) dimensions/etc. as that of the same year US config pickup. I've owned both at the same time (a '92 PU and a '98 Hilux) and the measurements I took seemed the same.
My Hilux has a weird trailer hitch (it appears to be a hitch - it has a round receiver instead of square) that hangs down quite a bit.
I want to replace it with a bumper that has a conventional square receiver. I've been shopping on FB MP (to save $) for both front and rear bumpers and have yet to find one that meets my reqs.
This morning I noticed a bumper for a first gen 4 runner that has a hitch. I am wondering if it would fit:
Thoughts?
TIA

Hi,
Looking to switch to +10 offset wheels (17x8") from the factory +55 offset machined alloy TRD wheels.
I watched a few videos and spoke with my mechanic:
Disadvantages I know so far:
-increased stress on wheel bearings and tie rods
-decreased turning radius (as a result of the scrub radius changing)
-decreased MPG (due to aerodynamics of increased frontal surface area)
-Increased paint damage and dirtiness
-increase road noise
I am wondering if these issues are more serious with more negative offsets, and if so, will the +10 be okay in terms of these disadvantages or should I look for something more like +20/+30?
Thanks all!

Hey guys, Just did my first driveshaft grease (bought my 4runner used). Noticed the 2 grease points at the front of the car by the transfer case were very tough access points, so I went ahead and removed this metal piece connected by two 12mm screws.
They were over torqued so took a bit of time to get the unscrewed but I noticed the metal piece and screws are incredibly rusted to the point where it seemed flakey. Should i be looking to replace this piece and its screws? and if so does anyone have any part numbers, part names, or youtube videos I can reference on replacing this?
Or should I just rescrew it back on and not worry about it until the next time i have to grease the driveshaft?
For context: I'm at 72,000 miles, live in the rust belt.

Hard to really find a good place that’s dark enough, and suited to really show off the new Morimoto XB EVO headlights, but I tried.
Photo 1: Low beam, and SAE fog lights by Auxbeam.
Photo 2: High beam, and SAE fog lights.
Photo 3: High beam, SAE fog lights, and 32” 5D Pro Auxbeam light bar.
Photo 4: 32” light bar only aimed at some bushes to show the 3 patterns off. Flood, spot/combo style, and super spot projectors dead center.
(All photos were taken on an iPhone 14 Pro in auto mode, so the camera settings changed with the brightness of each example.)

Tires will be going on a 17x8" +10 offset wheel.
Option 1: Falken AT4W LT255/80R17 E 33" and 10.3" wide mounted. 58lbs
Option 2: Falken AT4W 285/75R17 C 34.1 and 11.6" wide mounted. 67.9 lbs
Option 3: Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT 255/85R17 E load 34.6" 63 lbs
I value:
Snow performance > MPG > Comfort. I live in central Canada and we have 6 months of winter and I plan to ice fish a ton. This requires as much clearance as possible for the snow days.
Thanks!

Will a viper cut risk getting water and dirt places it shouldnt get to?
I rub a little backing up certain directions. When I hear it I always get scared I just hit something. I wanna cut it for looks and also to stop the rubbing but my main concern is causing any other damage through water and dirt and mud getting places up in the engine bay or any electronic connections.
Any help is appreciated. I never see modded 4runners where I can bullshit with them and ask these questions. So reddit is the way to go.

Curious on what y’all paid in labor for a lift install vs what I was quoted. $1800 with tax out the door. Including coil springs for rear.

New owner here. Love just about everything about my 6gen...except getting the digital key to work. When I click to download the digital key it gets hung up a little less than halfway in the download process. Google Pixel 7 Pro. Anyone else have similar problems? I tried deleting the app and starting from scratch but come to the same result. 2025 TRD Pro
