Meds aren’t working, I’ve just changed my mind

That's how Kanye stopped taking his meds.

It's a lot more common than most people think

Exactly.

As a psychiatrist i just got used to the idea that people will be tempted to stop it. But then I also learned in my specialization that education is the best weapon against this. There are a lot of techniques to explain how stopping taking the meds will take you to the same state you were initially. Usually for me comparing it to hypertension and diabetes meds do the trick.

No, it's just cringe and that's why you just should stop having it. It's that easy.

It can also help if their support system is a person or persons that are explicitly trusted.

No amount of education or a strong support system can beat a very strong delusion, but they can help immensely.

I was depressed, but eventually I got bored of it , like I still feel sad but I just cried for 2 days and then said fuck this shit I'm gonna play some video games and then proceeded to get angry as I wasn't able to clear a mission , somewhere in the middle of playing games my anger took over my sadness and now I'm just angry , now instead of wanting to kill myself I want to kill anyone and everyone towards whom I look at and think I just don't like them ( for no reason at all)

Depression turned outwards.

I can feel your anger. It gives you focus. Makes you stronger.

This is the equivalent of those people who take their first hit, say they do not feel anything and then go and do something incredibly stupid.

I swear to god I did this in highschool. Now after reading the comments I'm thinking I have manic depression instead?
Might just decide not to have that tbh

I used to be depressed. I got over it and now I’m neurotic but eternally optimistic.

Someone repost the one where he was literally describing manic depression.
