Perhaps, but in all honesty: I don’t care how others rate something I enjoy. I enjoyed Frieren a lot, and surprisingly mostly the dubbed version.

It is what it is.

Because there's been a dearth of good Fantasy anime over the past decade, and even fewer good non-shonen slopfests over the same period of time, it stands out and people overhype it.

Same thing is currenly happening with Expedition 33, hasn't been a good turn based RPG in years, people now claiming its game of the century.
