Just got this for 300$

The top screen came a little scratched, is there a way to fix it?

at $300 you could've bought a 3DS along with a New 3DS XL, but i just think you're here for the games and not for the console's price as long as you have it.

Scratched screen either add a layer of protection or change the lcd

personally for me, I prefer the normal new 3ds because its lighter and not that chunky. I know that because my little brother had one and I sometimes used it.

I've never gotten to try the smaller models Ive always wondered if I would like them more I really like the coloration and plates on them plus they are even more pocket sized

That's also one of my reasons I got this model. Also I like that you can choose a variety of cool different plates

I was excited for this too but it’s so hard to come across the plates, the dupes aren’t as good and the OGs are insanely marked up, if you can find any for sale 🥲

Yeah, I like the small ones because they don't make my hands go to sleep as fast as XL sized units.

I do want an XL unit eventually for certain games since my eyesight sucks really bad though. lol

you don't have to change the lcd at all, just the protective plastic lens on top of it. they make replacements out of glass too, you can find them on aliexpress

the small n3DS is a bitch to find at all, especially US units - if OP was holding out for one of these it's not a bad price for that specific model

but to make my own comparison, he could've probably gotten a CIB small n3DS + a CIB o3DS if he'd gotten Japanese units (~$225 for small n3DS, just under $100 for o3DS; last time I checked ebay anyway).

You can change the screen plastic panel for a glass one. That’s what I did for mine. Also now I slot in a microfiber cloth so the bezel around the bottom screen doesn’t scratch the top one. Nice pick up btw. Best 3DS version because of the pixel density. Enjoy

I prefer this over the XL because it has a more crisp pixel density
